Dressmaking Classes Dressmaking Classes give you the freedom to tackle projects of your liking under supervision. Whether a new design outfit or tackling some repairs and alterations to revamping the lounge cushions. Now having completing the skirt fitting class, you now have the necessary understanding of how a pattern should look & how a garment is laid out for cutting, and cut in readiness for assembly. This class is where we have fun assembling garments, (your new skirt for example) and experimenting with other patterns, and new sewing skills. These classes run the same day each week per month - class $180.00 pp E.G. 1 Morning a week for 4 weeks 9.30am - 12 noon OR 1 Night.... a week for 4 weeks 6.30pm - 9pm Single class cost $45.00 Per Class See Calendar for dates & availability These classes are offered to those students who have completed the basic Course & wish to continue on with their journey of learning. Understanding the journey: Sewing / Dressmaking / Fitting : Sewing -These are the required skills & knowledge you would need to know to get you started on your first project. Dressmaking – These skills take you through the steps of assembling a garment or project. Fitting – This is a skill in itself, where you fine tune your Patterns to fit the individual to their requirements & needs. All go hand in hand to create your beautifully fitted & sewn garment. I know we all would like to be able to accomplish it all in 4 or 8 easy lessons, but lets slow it down & take the Journey at a pace that suits you & your level of understanding. Monthly Classes - Each block run 1 class per week – for 4 weeks – due to social distancing, 3 students max per class & need to be paid in full 48 hrs prior to the class commencement. Bookings essential.
