Starting Point
Where does one start when they want to learn to sew? That’s, a very good question.
Firstly, look at your expectations of where you want to end up. Learning to sew can mean many things to many people.

๏You may wish to just take up a hem or repair a zip. These are known as Repairs and Alterations.

๏You may have the desire to refurbish your home by replacing the curtains and cushions.

๏Then again, you may desire to become a designer, or at least your own designer, and create beautiful garments for yourself, family and friends.

๏You may be a sewer already & desire to take the next step in the art of fitting.
Once you have established which direction you may like to take, then look for the classes that suit you needs.
I would recommend you start with a Learn to Sew class first to familiarise yourself with the basics of sewing.
